BINGO DEAD IN CHICKASAW!!!
Your Subtitle text

On February 25th, 2010 the Chickasaw City Council pushed forward with their plan to "save our city" by installing illegal "bingo machines" in the J.C. Davis Auditorium. Within hours the State of Alabama intervened and the "casino" was shut down. As many know our city is in dire need of funds. Many alternatives have been presented to our council that would effectively reduce the amount of outgoing payments and over time bring us back to a stable fiscal environment. Unfortunately these alternatives have been ignored. Our current city council seems to believe that a "quick fix" which would negatively effect our city and it's residence is our best option. As you will see in the documents below, their "quick fix" is illegal. By pushing forward with this illegal activity our city's image has become tarnished, and Chickasaw may never again be known as "Small Town America". The old saying, "United we stand, divided we fall." could never hold more true for our city than now. Currently there is no legislation that would allow "bingo" in Chickasaw. It would be best to make sure our leaders know how we feel so that no legislation will be written in the future.
